Snow Wolf
Because wolves rock compared to the other choices. Actually, wolves rock all the time! Get a Snow Wolf, if you MUST have a pet. However, I'd suggest you don't get a pet at all. They require 2 skill slots just to keep alive and you'll have enough trouble killing your enemies than watching your pets health bar. Pets are extremely cool but they're just so weak and costly. |

If you like meow sound... that's lynx... (personally I really dislike the lynx model... just look so... so... uncool?)
snow wolf tend to howl, which can be cool once in awhile... but... it look like it ate alot of steroids or too much mcdonald with the fat gather at the shoulder... really doesn't look close to a real wolf at all... the MOST widely used pet... how? every pvp char start with it... =/ so what is left? bear vs lizard... personally I think the bear is more interesting, as it will actually use brutal maul and attack while standing... while I don't remember lizard doing anything special... both the lizard and bear model are pretty good. /bear lornar's pass is south of beacon's perch. |

Here is a pic of me and my lv18 bear posing outside Lion's Arch. I aquired this large beast who has been growing since, from Witman's Folly outside of Droknar.

I vote for either Snow Wolf or Lynx as they are both equally cool. Although Bears may be the best choice as they probably do and take slightly more damage than the rest.
BTW Mavrik that screenshot looks really nice. |

Well I know one thing, the bears are the only ones with an actual attack,"Brutal Mauling" Though Ive heard others say this is just for cosmetic purposes and it's not really a special attack, however in pre sear the other day on my new charactor while I was being attacked by the bear,I noticed an increase of 4 dmg points when it did this Brutal Mauling,so maybe thats something to think about?

I using the same cat I got in the quest. We are both at level 16 now and just made it through Divinty Coast. She kicks butt! She's about waist high now to my ranger. I went treking outside Kryta tonight with a guild mate (who just started playing the game) and he was a lvl 13 with the same animal. There was a noticable difference in the 3 levels as far as size. As far as your choice of what pet to get. I would say which ever one appeals to you more, as you are the one that is going to see it all the time. I think the top two are bear, and spider. The thing with getting a new pet is also consider the time it will take to re-level it back up.
